Oyster Dressing - New Orleans Style
Ingredients:
3 lbs ground sirloin … 96%
2 doz oysters (to be puree’d)
2 cans of Campbell's beef consumme’ …. 11 oz cans
24 oz Pepsi
2 sticks of butter
1 bag (16 oz) of Pepperidge Farms “Herb Seasoned Stuffing”
mix (white/purple bag)
½ cup of Dale’s Seasoning liquid
1 small bag of cut vegetable seasoning mix (onions, celery,
bell pepper, garlic, etc…)
2 tbs of Ragin Blaze Cajun Seasoning
Method:
Brown ground
meat in a large pot over medium – high heat, then drain any
excess fat juice
Add 2 sticks of butter …. Stir over medium heat
Add bag of vegetable seasoning , stir
Add 2 cans beef consumme’ , stir
Add ½ cup of Dales , stir
Add 2 cups of Pepsi , stir
Add puree’d Oysters , stir
Cook for 1 hour on low/med heat … stir occasionally
Then add a little at a time of the seasoned stuffing mix …
keep stirring
Add Ragin Blaze seasoning to taste
Stir all together and cover with lid, ready to serve as is
Re-heat on stove or in microwave if needed |
